Re: Deductive Reasoning. Very useful in math, but when used in day to day life, it is a fallacy (&quot;a priori&quot; thinking). Accepting an idea without sufficient proof, then deducing &quot;facts&quot; from it. The person who uses this kind of thinking usually &quot;cherry picks&quot; his facts, dismissing those that don&#039;t agree with his theory.</description>
